Obituary

Rosemary Carrico, age 90 of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:40 p.m. at The Villages of Oak Ridge.


She was born on April 23, 1928 in Daviess County to the late Clarence and Mary Matlida (Gates) Worland. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1946. She had worked for UniRoyal for forty-two years and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and quilting.


Rosemary married Robert B. Carrico on October 14, 1950, who preceded her in death June 2, 1966. She is survived by two sons, James J. (Linda) Carrico and Dean (Terry) Carrico, both of Washington; daughter, Roberta (John) Wichman of Washington; eight grandchilden; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Anna Steiner and Alma Ray; brother, Ralph Worland.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 E Viola, Washington, Indiana.
