Rose Marie Erwin age 80 of Washington passed away at 8:50 a.m. Monday at Golden Living Center in Petersburg. Born April 17, 1927 in Washington she was the daughter of Louis August and Eva Mabel (Buhr) Brothers. She was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving is her husband, Darrell R. Erwin, whom she married April 24, 1948; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Wichman of Washington, Nancy and Tony Jones of St. Charles, Mo, and Mary Jane and Kevin Dress of Carmel; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debbie Erwin of Bloomington; one brother, Lawrence Brothers of Joplin, Mo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Kenneth, and Don Brothers; and one sister, Louise Carrico. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a wake service at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Community of Washington.
