Robert L. Thombleson, 84, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Hillside Manor.

Robert was born on September 22, 1934 in Washington to H. Blanche (Lee) Thombleson and James Henry Thombleson. He was retired from Daviess County Highway Dept. He was also a member of the Glendale Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Joy (Hudson) Thombleson of Washington, whom he married on October 7, 1977; two sons, Jeffrey Lee Thombelson of Plainville and Scott(Lori)  Thombleson of Bloomfield, Indiana; daughter Pamala Cherepkai of Terre Haute, Indiana; step-son James R. Hay of Washington; step-daughter D. Michelle Belcher of Washington; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Paul W. Thombleson and William J. Thombleson.

Friends and family may call between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel, followed by a graveside service that will be led by Byron Holtsclaw at 1:30 PM at Bethany Cemetery.
