Robert J. Sykes, age 74, of Washington, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 30, 1941 in Paris, TN to Mabel (Sweeney) and Travis C. Sykes. He graduated from EW Grove High School in Paris, Tennessee in 1960. He went to Navy Electronics School in Memphis, TN. He is retired from Crane as an Electronics Technician and was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Anna Sykes, who he married January 6, 1963, a daughter, Carol Lynn (Patric) O''Donnell of St. Peters, MO, and two grandchildren; Kala O''Donnell and Liam O''Donnell. Preceding him in death was a son, Ronald Lee Sykes and a sister, Naomi Hall. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Visitation will be from 5 - 6 pm before the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
