Robert 'Bob' Healy, age 85, of Washington, passed away at 10:45 PM on Thursday at Emerald House. He was born on September 12, 1925 in Daviess County to Hugh J. and Margaret E. (Brown) Healy. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for over 20 years for the B and O Railroad and after retirement he volunteered for St Vincent DePaul. He was a member of our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Fraternal order of the Eagles, and was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Amvets. He is survived by three sisters, Betty Jean Henline of Florida, Mary Jo Miller of Lafayette, and Maggie (Jack) Craney of Montgomery; two brothers, John (Juanita) Healy of Washington and Joe Healy of Vincennes; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Leo Healy and Donald Healy. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to St. John Cemetery 101 North Meridian Street-Washington, Indiana 47501.
