Richard Dick' Risch, age 85, of Washington passed away at 6:30PM on Wednesday at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on December 21, 1925 in Washington to John Anthony and Mary Lucille (Smith) Risch. He was retired from Meadow Gold Dairy where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our lady of Hope Catholic Church, and had also been a volunteer for the St Vincent DePaul Society. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Bateman) Risch; two daughters and sons in-law, Susan and Mac Petty, and Kathryn and Gary Potts all of Washington; four sons and daughters in-law, James and Diana Risch of Anderson, Christopher Risch, David and Sharon Risch, John and Elaine Risch all of Washington; one sister and brother in-law, Shirley and Bob Davies of Toledo, Ohio; twenty four grandchildren; and twenty one great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Risch; daughter in-law, Jackie Risch; and two grandchildren A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery with Military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
