Richard Floyd, 66, passed away while at the Deaconnes Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, September 5, 2021. He was born November 4, 1954, in Washington to Joy (Wininger) Floyd and James Gilbert Floyd.

Richard had worked at a trucking company where he was a mechanic. He was an Basketball avid fan.

Those who now cherish Richard's memory are: his chosen step-daughter, Danielle Baham; and his sister, Patty (Jerry) Davis, both of Washington. Richard also leaves several nieces and nephews: David Davis, Jamie Evans, Courtney Davis, Samie Jo McKinney, Shane Floyd, Dustin Martin, and Sasha Martin. He had eleven great-nieces and-nephews.

During his lifetime, Richard mourned the loss of his mother, Joy Floyd; a sister, Karla Martin; and a brother, Sam Floyd.

Visitation for Richard Floyd will be Friday, September 10, 2021, 4:00-7:00 pm, at the Ed Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington.

The funeral will immediately follow the visitation on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Ed Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, at 7:00 pm. Yvonne Evans will officiate.

Interment will be at a later date.
