Regina M. Alberti went to her heavenly home on November 4, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved her dearly.

Regina was born on October 7, 1940, in Washington, Indiana, to Robert and Leona (Riney) Petty. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1958. On June 6, 1959, she married the love of her life, James Lee Alberti. Together, they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories until his passing in 2024.

Regina was a woman of strong character and a loving heart. She believed in being honest and speaking her mind, and those who knew her always knew where she stood. Beneath her straightforward nature was a woman who cared deeply for the people she loved and would do anything she could for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Regina found joy in the simple things. She enjoyed working on word puzzles, bowling, and the friendships she made through card clubs and bowling leagues in her younger years. She was actively involved in the Washington Catholic school community and later worked as an administrative assistant at St. Simon Catholic Church until her retirement. Her Catholic faith remained an important part of her life, and she was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

One of Regina's greatest blessings was the special bond she shared with her sisters, Melba and Kathy. Their close relationship was a treasured part of her life, and the time they spent together brought her much happiness.

Above all, Regina treasured her family. Her love was genuine, her words were sincere, and she had a way of leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her unwavering love, and the many memories she leaves behind.

Those left to cherish Regina's memory include her three loving daughters, Vicki Lynn (David) Igel, Debbie (David) Neukam, and Angela Kay (David) Ward; her grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Katowitz, Ali (Jess) Foury, Brian (Hannah) Igel, Matt (Jodie) Neukam, Melissa (Jeremy) Butcher, Drake Wuertz, and Logan Ward; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Melba Fox and Kathy (Bill) Greene; her brothers, Morris (Karen) Petty, Mack (Susie) Petty, and Mark (Sheila) Petty; her brother-in-law, Steve Alberti; her dear friend, Megan Milligan; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

While Regina's passing leaves a sadness in the hearts of those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her beloved husband, James Lee Alberti; her parents, Robert and Leona Petty; her grandson, Baby David; her great-granddaughter, Henley Neukam; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Fox; and especially her baby sister, Gail Rose Petty, whom she had so lovingly looked forward to seeing again.

The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank-you to Regina's hospice nurse, Tracee Chanley, who was truly an angel on earth. Her kindness, compassion, and loving care brought comfort to Regina and her family during a time when it was needed most. Her gentle presence and dedication will always be remembered with sincere gratitude.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ed L. Lee Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at St. John Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Regina's honor to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, IN 47501.
