Phyllis A. Norris, 81, passed away at Loogootee Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 5:10 AM. She was born in Washington on January 23, 1936 to Carl and Irma (Wuertz) Alberti. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1954. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia (Jerry) Cooper of Charlestown, Indiana and Denise (BJ Baumert) Parsons of Washington; two sons, Jeffrey (Gaye) Norris of Washington and Kent (Darla) Norris of Plainville; sister, Norma VanLue of Washington; seven grandchildren, Kendra Norris, Kendal Norris, Angela (Parsons) Richardson, Makenzie Parsons, Norbert Rehm IV, Catherine England, Jerry Cooper, Jr.; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest R. Norris on February 17, 1986, whom she married July 26, 1958; sister, Barbara Hart; brother, Carl Philip Alberti, Jr. and son-in-law, Roger D. Parsons
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
