Obituary

Phillip Michael Waggoner, born March 12, 1974, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 51.
Phillip was born to William and Kathy (Limbach) Waggoner. He married Kelly Boxley on September 2, 1995; that marriage later ended in divorce. On October 1, 2011, he married the love of his life, Celia Timmerman.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Waggoner; his father, William Waggoner; his children, Kiersten Waggoner, Phillip Waggoner, and Nicholas Timmerman-Waggoner, all of Washington, Indiana; as well as his stepsons, Damian Hamann and Donovan Burch of Iowa; and his cherished grandchildren Arya and Logan Messerli. He is also survived by his siblings, Jonathon, Jeremy, and Gus Waggoner, Steve Potts, Lisa Bouchie, and Carla Gray.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Waggoner; his dear friend, Steve Potts, Sr.; and Steve Bouchie.
A lifelong resident of Washington, Indiana, Phillip was a familiar presence--someone whose name and spirit were known by many.
Phillip was a man of depth and complexity. Those closest to him knew his heart and the way he showed up for the people he loved, in his own way. His life experiences shaped him, and he carried those experiences with honesty and strength.
Known in the cage as "Phill the Pain," he was an MMA fighter with a warrior's spirit and a sharp sense of humor. Outside the cage, he found peace kayaking, gardening, spending time with his family, and with his two German Shepherds and his cat, who were constant companions.
Phillip's memory will live on through his wife, children, loved ones, and all who shared moments, laughter, and stories with him over the years. He leaves behind a legacy remembered not only in words, but in the lives he touched.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 held at Central Christian Church.
