Peggy L. Thompson, age 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 6, 2026.
Peggy was born on September 18, 1953, in Virginia. Her parents were Ronald L. Barnes and M. Carolyn (Stephenson) Barnes. She lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, and a deep love for those around her.
She leaves behind her loving father, Ronald Barnes; her cherished children, Jeff (Marrisa) LaBrec, Sean Twaddell, and Brandon (Winter) Mireles; her beloved three grandchildren; her siblings, Patsy (Dewayne) Cline, Michael Trent, Rhonda (Randy) Huddleston, and Barbara (Mark) Myers; and her special friend, Gary Keiller, who held a dear place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Barnes, and her sister, Pam (Terry) Barber.
Peggy was a gifted and artistic soul who found joy in painting and drawing, often expressing herself through her art. She loved Jesus and devoted her life to spreading His word. Her faith guided her daily life, and she found comfort and joy in attending church. She also had a deep love for animals, showing compassion and gentleness to all living creatures.
Peggy will be remembered for her creative spirit, her caring heart, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
