Paul was born in Washington, Indiana, on March 28th, 1950, to Peter and Rose Graber. Raised as one of 15 children in a farming family, Paul grew up surrounded by hard work, faith, and a strong sense of community that shaped the rest of his life. He spent his early years in agriculture before transitioning into a career as an electrician where he founded his own electrical business.
Paul went on to dedicate more than 30 years to the electrical trade, serving as both an electrician and construction superintendent with Griffin Darling Industries until his retirement. His work allowed him to travel across the country as a traveling electrician, an experience that sparked a lifelong love for exploring new places.
Paul was also an active participant in his local community, serving as a board member for the Montgomery Ruritan Club and contributing to its mission of fellowship and service. He was a longtime member of Providence Mennonite Church, where his faith served as a constant guide in his life.
Outside of work and community involvement, Paul found joy in fishing and in the company of family and friends. He was known for his generosity and constant willingness to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. In many ways, those everyday actions captured who he was: a man of hard work, kindness, faith, and deep commitment to his community.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Paul Graber on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service honoring Paul's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, with Kevin Swartzentruber officiating. All services will be held at Providence Church in Montgomery. Following the service, Paul will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery.
