Patsy R. Smith, age 90, of Washington, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born on February 9, 1927 in Bedford to Samuel and Dollis (Watson) Stevens. She graduated from Washington High School in 1946. She had worked for Merle Norman as a cosmetologist clerk for several years. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Washington Country Club Women's Golf League and the St Vincent DePaul, where she had been a volunteer for over ten years.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Smith, whom she married April 27, 1947; two sons, Samuel (Mari Lynn) Smith of Texas and Lester Kent (Cathy) Smith of Ohio; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Carl Leo Smith; two sisters, Mary Ann Culhan and Martha Jane Robins; grandson, Matt Smith.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
