Orvada P. (Farren) Garrett, 92, passed away at her Washington residence during the afternoon of March 15, 2024. She was born in Odon, Indiana, November 1, 1931, to William Delbert and Grace Ellen (Fritz) Farren. She was married to Harold Garrett; he passed away March 7, 1987.

Orvada loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed the outdoors - especially doing her gardening and tending to her flowers. She cherished time with her family.

Those who now mourn Orvada's passing include her grandchildren: TJ (Lisa Golliver) Martin of Washington and Briana Leah (Lance) Hart of Indianapolis. Orvada was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Ashlynn Martin, Adilynn Martin, Braimon Hart, Levyn Hart, Ellymay Lynn Martin, and Camron Dotterwheich. She also leaves her son-in-law, Tim Martin of Washington, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Orvada was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and William Farren; her husband, Harold Garrett; daughter, Cindy Kay Martin; brothers: Kenneth Farren, Carlos Farren, Johnny Farren, and Bobby Farren; and sisters: Katherine Farren, Mary M. Parsons, and Berniece Farren who died in infancy.

A graveside service for Orvada P. Garrett will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, Indiana. Pastor Terry Fletcher will officiate.
