Nancy E. Riester, age 68 of Washington, passed away August 12, 2015 at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born in Washington on October 28, 1946 to Mary E. (Ray) and Norman Fitzgerald. Nancy was a 1965 Washington Catholic graduate. She was retired from Daviess Community Hospital. She also belonged to the Eagles and VFW clubs. She loved playing cards, bingo and reading. She is survived by son, Theodore B. "Ted" (Cheryl) Riester Jr., brothers; Norman E. (Violet) Fitzgerald of Washington, John M. (Brenda) Fitzgerald of Washington, sisters; Joyce Cox of Florida, Mary Lois Clauss of Florida, and Janice (Donald) Trayweek of Washington, two grandchildren; Sydni Riester and Samuel Riester of Washington, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Robert D. Fitzgerald, Anthony "Tony" Fitzgerald and Albert J. Fitzgerald. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 - 8 pm and also Tuesday morning from 9 - 10:30 am at Ed Lee Mortuary. Eagles memorial service and VFW memorial services at 7:00 and 7:15 pm respectively on Monday evening.
