Morris "Dean" Trowbridge, age 84, of Washington, passed away at 4:00 AM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Washington on December 22, 1933 to Homer A. and Clara G. (Gammon) Trowbridge. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of St Martin Catholic Church and the Washington American Legion. He was retired from NSWC Crane and had worked 10 years for Comarco. He enjoyed fixing things, going to his grandchildren's sporting events as well as watching the St Louis Cardinals. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Craney) Trowbridge who he married on October 27, 1956; one daughter, Connie F (Rich) Harpenau of Evansville; five sons, F. Alex (Annice) Trowbridge Waterloo, South Carolina, Jean C. Trowbridge of Evansville, Pat G. Trowbridge of Washington, and Darrell A. Trowbridge of Hazelwood, Missouri Dale M. Trowbridge of Loogootee; thirteen grandchildren, Alex (Anna) Trowbridge II, Sarah (Kyle Dauberman) Trowbridge, Dr. Erin Harpenau, Kelsey (Nick Austin) Harpenau, Natalie Harpenau, Ryan (Angelea Gavin) Trowbridge, Gavin Trowbridge, Maggie Trowbridge, Jeremy (Kayti Savage) Trowbridge, April (Jason) Conley, Frances Taylor, Jeremiah Taylor, Noah Tayler; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Donnie Trowbridge; and one sister, Phyllis Robinson of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sister, Arlene Murray and Deloris Chestnut; three brothers, Robert Trowbridge, Wayne Trowbridge, and Frankie Trowbridge. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday at St Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield with Father Kenneth Walker as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue in Washington and from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM on Friday at the Church.
