Mildred B. Martin age 71 of Washington passed away on Sunday at 4:10 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on November 24,1934 in Terre Haute to the late Beatrice (Maddox) and Hershel Edward Kirby. She married Bobby G. Martin on April 20,1968 and he preceded her in death. Mildred attended New Hope Christian Church. Surviving are three sons and daughters in-law, Lynn 'JR' and Ida Hunt of Cory, In., Calvin 'Joe' and Michelle Hunt of Columbus, In., and Wayne and Regina Martin of Washington.; one daughter and son in-law, Mary and William Kelly of Conroe, Tx.; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby G. Martin on May 18, 1992 and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg.
