Mildred "Millie" (Mahan) Beck, 87, of Washington passed away 5:29 p.m. Wednesday peacefully with her family by her side at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born May 21st. 1925 in Harlon, Ky. to William Frank and Bess (Bryant) Mahan. Mildred moved to Washington in 1946 and worked at Uniroyal for 33 years and retiring in 1978. She was a graduate of Spurgeon High School, and married her husband Arthur Beck on July 11, 1981. She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge Aux, she joined in 1951, also a member of the American Legion Aux. and VFW Aux. Mildred is survived by her husband, four step-children, Barry Beck of Fla; Anthony Beck of Indianapolis; Suzanne Shipley of Beach Grove; Dawn Beck of Indianapolis; 7 step grand-children and 11 step great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon till 2 PM on Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
