Michael Robert Minniear, 71, passed away during the afternoon of March 22, 2025. He was born Washington on June 11, 1953, the son of Robert and Wilma Kathleen (Trowbridge) Minniear. He married Cheryl (Pearson) Minniear on September 15, 1979 and they made their home together until her passing on July 3, 2017.

Michael was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School. He was employed by Indiana University where he worked in the Food Services Department for thirty-one years. He was also a union member at Indiana University where he represented union members who were employed by the university. Michael was a member of the Army National Guard from 1980-1986.

Those who are left to cherish Michael's memory include: sisters-in-law, Rita Pearson and Pamela Schloesser; brother-in-law, Henry Leon Pearson; and several nieces and nephews.

During his lifetime, Michael grieved the loss of his parents, Robert and Wilma Minniear; his wife, Chery Minniear; parents-in-law, William Henry and Lois (Whaley) Pearson; brothers-in-law, Roger D. Pearson and Christopher Pearson; and sister-in-law, Connie Pearson.

Graveside services for Michael Minniear will begin at 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Reverend Judd Sears will officiate.
