Michael Joseph (Joe) Boyd passed away peacefully at Jasper Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2022 after a long illness. He was born on December 29, 1956 and was the oldest son of Conrad Boyd Jr and Agnes Virginia (Ginger) Boyd. Joe graduated from Washington High School in 1975 and married his High School sweetheart, Karen White, of Washington IN. They had one daughter, Britney Jo Boyd of Washington, IN. He worked for Brandt Construction in Indianapolis until his retirement, and then moved to Washington to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. Joe was an avid fan of Nascar and loved tinkering on his truck, grilling out, camping and spending time with family and friends. He was known as a good and loyal friend and beloved father and grandfather to his two grandsons, Joseph and Ben, who were the light of his life. He was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Britney Boyd; grandsons, Joseph and Ben; sister, Sharon (Jay) Wise, sister Suzanne (Joe) Benjamin, brother Alan Boyd and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Conrad and mother, Ginger.
Visitation for Joe will be from a 11:00 am till 1:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Yonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
