Merle Hudson, 92, of Washington, passed away at 9 a. m. Tuesday at Jasper Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rachel (Helton) Hudson. She was a member of First Christian Church and was an avid gardener and quilter. She is survived by one son, Donald J. Hogle of Washington; two daughters, Joy Thombleson and Ruth Hitt both of Washington; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a special friend, Sheyenne Miles. She is preceded in death by five brothers, John, Ernest, Chester, Clarence, and Carl Hudson and five sisters, Maude Maxel, Lillian Cole, Willie Hudson, Ophie Hudson, and Mabel Hart. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Bill Pentecost officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
