Mary M. Howard, 99, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022, at River Oaks Memory Care. She was born in Washington, Indiana, September 28, 1923, to Frank and Mabel (Raney) Swords.

Mary was born and raised in Washington, Indiana, but, moved to Dayton, Ohio, at a very young age. She worked for the federal government at the Defense Electronic Supply Center for thirty-six years where she was a supervisor. She helped immensely with the war effort during World War II and retired at the age of fifty-five to fulfill her dream of traveling the world. Mary visited many countries including: South America; Africa; Australia; China; the Galapagos Islands and Russia.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Bobbie (Jeff) Treser; granddaughter, Joy Lynn (Jeff) Hill; and grandson, Joshua (Ashley) Rook. She was blessed with ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mabel Swords; a sister, Helen Marie Swords; and a grandson, Jerry Bledsoe.

Mary will be buried during a private graveside service in St. John Cemetery in Washington.
