Mary E. James age 73 of Washington passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville , Indiana.

Mary was born September 30, 1947 in Washington to Clara Evelyn (Burkhardt) and Robert Rudolph Fredrick. She was a member of Maysville United Methodist Church. She loved red roses, crocheting and being with her family.

Mary is survived by her husband Daniel James who she married November 17, 1985; son Robert Joseph (Brenda) Wadsworth of Evansville; five daughters Rhonda Renee(Kevin) Heisdorf of Washington, Tammy Annette O'Dell of Patoka, Melissa Dawn (Matthew) Rhodes of Cheifland, FL and Tricia Gail (Donald) Kavanaugh and Laura Ann (Kim) Jones Madden both of Washington; sister Anna Marie Fredrick of Spurgeon; twenty-five grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Cervando Eduardo Santos.

Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel at 1:00pm with Pastor Jason Johnston officiating. Entombment will follow at Sugarland Memory Gardens.
