Marjorie R. Sinnott age 91 of Washington passed away on Saturday at 5:07 AM in Evansville. She was born on February 8, 1917 in Washington to Clarence and Mary Teresa (Connaughton) Riester. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church, was a RSVP volunteer, was a honorary member of Psi-Iota-Xi Sorority and was a passed member of the Monday Afternoon Club. She was a 1935 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. Surviving are three daughters and sons in-law, Susan and Everett Ballengee of Washington, Julia and James Rang of Newburgh, and Ellen Sinnott of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one son and daughter in-law, John N. and Jan Sinnott of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. 'Jack' Sinnott on December 5, 1966. Her parents, one sister Betty Doyle, and one brother Elbert Riester are also deceased. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday with a wake service at 7:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary and from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Wednesday at St. Simon Catholic Church.
