Marilyn (Osmon) Buchanan, age 57, of Bedford, Virginia formally of Washington, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 4 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 in Bedford, Virginia. Born July 21, 1953 in Washington, she was the daughter of Ralph and Betty (Barrett) Osmon. She was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School. She was a committed wife and loving mother. Surviving is her husband, John Buchanan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Erik Landemalm of Somalia, and Amy and Andrew Mathe of Philadelphia, PA; a son Stephen Buchanan who is attending covenant college in Lookout Mountain, GA; a brother, Dennis Osmon of Washington; and countless friends and members of the Buchanan family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Stephen Osmon. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at Aikman Creek Church with Jeff Fredrick officiating.
