Margie Colvin, 81, of Corning, passed away at 10 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Washington Nursing Center. She was born on September 28, 1931 in Montgomery to Michael L. and Mary E. (Grannan ) Doyle. She was a 1949 graduate of Montgomery High School. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved gardening, canning, and cooking. She was awarded the Brute Award from the Catholic Diocese of Evansville. She is survived by her husband Patrick Colvin Jr. whom she married on July 9, 1949; two daughters and sons in-law, Mary Ann and John Kensek of Plainville, and Carol and Jim Saul of Montgomery; three sons and daughters in-law, David and Margaret Colvin of Montgomery, Michael and Barbara Colvin of Loogootee, and Neil and Sheila Colvin of Jasper; one sister, Beulah Gramelspacher of Jasper; one brother, Ambrose Doyle of Montgomery; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death one son, Daniel Colvin in 2008 A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in Glenco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Memorial donations may be given to St. Patrick's Cemetery Association P. O.
