Margaret 'Eleanor' Walker age 88 passed away on Thursday at 5:50 PM at Washington Nursing Center. She was born on December 12, 1918 in Washington to Hugo and Gertrude (Smith) McAtee. She attended Washington Catholic High School and was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church. She retired in 1989 from Hoosier Gas Company as an office manager. Surviving are two daughter and sons in-law, Barbara Walker Leriche and John of Beaverton, Oregon, and M. Jane Walker Groves and Robert of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Steven Leriche, Jeff Leriche, and Kristin Hickey all of Oregon, and Stacey Groves and Brad Groves both of Bloomington; and two brothers and sisters in-law, Jack and Hilda McAtee of Oklahoma, and Robert and Jane McAtee of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Walker Sr. on October 12, 1977; one son, Fred Walker Jr. on December 28, 2006; and one sister Edrea Case A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 16, 2007 at St. Simon Catholic Church.
