Margaret E. Moyes, age 87, of Washington, passed away at 10:21 pm on Saturday at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1927 in Washington to Albert and Bessie (McCraney) Miller. She had a great passion for fishing and camping. Margaret is survived by one daughter and son-law, Jennifer and Thomas Underwood of Washington; two sons and daughter in-laws Nelson and Patty Moyes of Brookville, FL and Troy and Karen Moyes of Washington; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Moyes whom she married on October 25, 1942, on March 29, 2010. She also was preceded in death by one grandchild; two brothers, Albert Miller and Robert Miller; four sisters, Lola Vaughn, Dolly Miller, Stella Grannan and Ruby Wrigh Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in New Veale Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
