Margaret M. Bingham, age 88 of North Vernon, formerly of Washington, passed away at 10:24 AM on Monday, July 03, 2017, at her daughters home in North Vernon. She had been under hospice care for over a year and a half. She was born on May 9, 1929 to Richard and Hettie (Carmichael) Williams. Margaret was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She had worked at the Daviess County Hospital as an aide and later went to work for the Washington Nursing Center where she received her QMA license and retired after 15 years of employment. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, listening to country music, traveling and spending time with family. She is survived by her three daughters, Darlene (Richard) Brown of Loogootee, Leota (Chris) Havens of Ogdensburg, New York, Paula Coryell of North Vernon; two sons, William Bingham and Richard Bingham both of North Vernon; brother, Danny Williams of Indianapolis; sister, Julia Boothe of Vincennes; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Bingham, whom she married on November 5, 1948; two daughters, Carol Bingham and Mary Ann Bingham; son, David Bingham; grandsons, Grady Brown and Michael Coryell; three brothers, Thomas Williams, John Williams and George Williams; three sisters, Dorothy Williams, Mateldia Lett and Virginia Clark; son-in-law, Douglas Coryell; daughter-in-law, Karen Bingham; great granddaughter, Gabrielle BrownA mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Fr Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
