Marcella May Fields, age 89, of Washington passed away at 8:55 AM on Tuesday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Center She was born on December 25, 1920 in Parke County to Jesse H. and Melissa Mary (Gregg) Byrd. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella , and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one granddaughter Amanda Ann Hakason of Mill City, Oregon; one grandson, Michael E. Summers of Salem, Oregon; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Fields on May 25, 1998, whom she married on June 10, 1950. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sherrie Ann Wallace on December 3, 2006 and one brother Herman Russell Byrd. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
