Lillian Alice Halbert , age 80, of Washington, passed away at 5:25 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Prairie Village Living Center.

She was born on March 5, 1937 in Washington to Chester and Alice (Auberry) Gregory. She loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, fishing and crocheting. Her family often benefited from her excellent cooking skills.

She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Halbert; daughters, Cathy Brown, Sherri Schatz, and Lisa (Dennis) Wilson all of Montgomery; sons, Dan (Brandy) Booker, and Mike Booker both of Washington, Don (Tina) Booker of Petersberg, Tony (Marti) Booker of San Antonio, Texas, and Darin (Mitsy) Halbert of Martinsville;  sisters, Lola (William) Russell of Montgomery, Becky Jenkins of Dale, Stella (Darrell) Abbott of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Patsy (Jerry) Whitsitt of Huntingburg, and Helen Dixon of Otwell;  23 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Troy D. Halbert and Mark Alan Booker; and one brother, John Gregory.

Funeral services will be at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
