Lennis Marie Fields, age 97 of Washington, passed away December 16, 2015 at Eastgate Nursing Center. She was born March 20, 1918 in Washington to Frank Ulla (Goodwin) Dobbyn. She attended Washington High School. She belonged to the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary clubs. She is survived by her sisters; Inez Dobbyn Smith and Valeria Yeager, both of Washington. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fields whom she married September 26, 1941, in January 1996, her parents, brothers; L. Richard Dobbyn, Everet Dobbyn, Arthur Dobbyn, and sister, Helen Keller. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Cemetery, 101 N. Meridian Street, Washington, IN 47501.
