Lawrence Colvin, age 90, passed away February 12, 2016 at 1:03 pm at The Villages at Oak Ridge. He was born December 13, 1925 in Corning to Mary (Riney) and Patrick Colvin. He was WWII Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann (Kane) Colvin whom he married October 30, 2004, daughters; Carolyn (Pat) Dearing of Huntingburg, Patty (Darrell Sr.) Alford of Washington, brother, Earl Colvin of Washington, sister, Louise O''Connor of Greenfield, four grandchildren; Michelle Hamilton, Laura Nord, Darrell W. Alford Jr., Sarah Montgomery, ten great-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sarah Roberta (Hamm) Colvin whom he married July 7, 1949, passed away January 28, 1985, a son, Larry Colvin, two step-sons; Joseph Sizemore and John Sizemore, brothers; Jerry, Raymond, Bernard, and James Colvin, sisters; Dorothy O''Connor, Bernadette Craney, Catherine Spaulding, Josephine Wade, Clara Shedelbower, and Rosemary Rayman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Washington American Legion and VFW Honor Guard. Visitation will be 3 - 7 p.m. on Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
