Karen E. Loughmiller - Hoevel, of Washington, passed into her heavenly home at 11:30 PM on Wednesday February 16, 2022. She was born on February 25, 1971 in Washington to Warren E. and Joyce (Cunningham) Loughmiller.
Karen was a 1989 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. While attending school she played volleyball and was a student manager for the girls' basketball team. Before her illness Karen worked as a nurse's aide and was going to nursing school.
Karen is survived by her husband, Matt Hoevel; her mother, Joyce Loughmiller of Montgomery; a brother, Keith Loughmiller of Montgomery; a nephew, Logan Loughmiller of Montgomery; and several aunts and uncles.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Warren Looghmiller.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Walker as celebrant . Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue Washington, Indiana
