Joyce E. Sinnott, age 59, of Newburgh, formerly of Washington, passed away at 10 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was born June 15, 1950 in Adrian, Michigan to Frank and Monica (Pettigrew) Herring. She was a 1968 graduate of Washington Catholic High School and a Vincennes University graduate. She had worked as a legal secretary and most recently as a cashier at Walgreens. She is survived by three sons and daughters in-law, Pat and Tara Sinnott of Montgomery, Tom and Crystal Sinnott of Boonville, and Jim Sinnott of Newburgh; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Maryann and Lester Stoll of Auburn, Alabama, Martha and Layne Lindley of La Grande, Oregon, and Patty and Mike Elmer of Newburgh; one brother and sisters-in-law, James and Janet Herring of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Sharon Herring of Washington; and four grandchildren, Jordan Sinnott, Zachary Sinnott, Jasmyne Sinnott, and Kennedy Sinnott. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Frances Michael Herring. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
