Cannelburg - Joyce (Cobb)Patterson, 81, died on August 19, at 6:45pm in Indianapolis, IN. She was born December 11, 1932 in Shoals, IN, the daughter of Lee and Hazel (McKibben) Cobb. She was a graduate of Shoals High School in 1950. Joyce lived most of her life in Cannelburg with her husband, Donald, and where they raised their 5 children. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was active in the ALL Saints Altar Society. Joyce retired as a bookkeeper from both Eggs, Inc and Senior and Family Services of Washington, IN. She enjoyed being with family and friends, needle crafts, working puzzles and playing board games. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was known to her great grandchildren as Grandma M&M because she spoiled them with M & M trinkets and treats when they came to visit. She is survived in death by her daughters, Charlotte Hudson and husband Ray of Indianapolis, IN, Karen McElyea of Henderson, NV, and Diana Dickerson and husband Tad of Indianapolis, IN; her sons, Wayne Patterson, and Roger Patterson and wife Lisa, all of Washington, IN; her sisters, Mary McClellan of Florida, Dixie Tharp of Florida, Frieda Johnson of Dover Hill, Bonnie Troutman of Shoals, Carol Pollak of Indianapolis, and Judy Moser Huron; her brothers, Frank Cobb of Florida and John Cobb of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald whom she married on November 1, 1952, on December 23, 2003; her parents Lee and Hazel Cobb; brother, Melvin and sister, Betty Miller and one great granddaughter, Sheena Sue Gillespie. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday August 23 at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens, Washington. Visitation is from 4pm to 8pm at All Saints Catholic Church on Friday, August 22. A prayer service will be held at 7:30pm.
