Joseph Henry Martin, age 84, of Washington, passed away February 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1931 in Fort Branch, Indiana to Margaret (Romerhausen) and Ora Martin. He was retired as a equipment operator. He was a member of Farm Bureau Coop. He is survived by a special friend, Jewell Ivey, of Washington, a brother, Otis "Sodie" Martin of Owensville, five sisters; Nola Aldridge of Bruceville, Margaret Wagner of Bruceville, Nina Brown of Copper Cove, TX, Linda Faulkener of Fort Branch and Janetta King of Fort Branch, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louise (Cantwell) Martin, siblings; Jerauld Martin, Mary Rose Martin, Geniva Schaffer, Ronald Martin, and Donald Martin. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time Wednesday at Walnut Hill Cemetery at Fort Branch, Indiana with Rev. Jason Jonston and Rev. Lucia Jones officiating. Visitation 11:00 am -1:00 pm Eastern Time Wednesday at Maysville United Methodist Church.
