Joseph L. Clauss, age 58, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017. He was born on August 3, 1958 in Washington, Indiana to Robert & Kathryn (Way) Clauss. He was a 1976 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. Joseph was a huge basketball, football  and baseball fan. He is survived by his wife, Angela (Jones) Clauss of Washington, Indiana, whom he married March 31, 1982; son, Nicholas(Jaime Heffernan) Clauss of Washington; daughter, Catherine L. Wilson of Washington; brother, Gregory (Deborah) Clauss of Denver, Colorado.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lynn Trester; two brothers, Patrick Clauss and James Clauss.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating.
