Joseph "Bob" McAtee age 89 of Washington passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Emerald Place.

Bob was born on June 26, 1931 in Washington to Gertrude Agnes (Smith) and Hugo Joseph McAtee. He graduated from Washington Catholic High School. He retired from Daviess/ Martin County REMC. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by a niece Jane Groves of Bloomington; nephew Tony Wilson of Falls Church, Virginia; three cousins Christine Ledgerwood of Washington, Carla Jones and Mary Lane Carter both of Evansville; two sisters in laws Judy Brewer of Washington and Katie Rohlfing of Lebanon and brother in law Phil Stiles of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jane (Stiles) McAtee who he married September 4, 1970 and passed away on June 29, 2019; two sisters M. Eleanor Walker and M. Edrea Case and a brother John T. McAtee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Martin Estrada officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
