John Doyle Walker, age 66, of Washington, passed away Sunday in Greenville, Illinois. He was born on May 24, 1950 in Washington to Vincent and Wilma (Doyle) Walker. He was a 1968 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. He was a US Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked as a computer programmer. He enjoyed hiking and the outdoors and was a Master Naturalist Intern in the state of Illinois. He is survived one sister, Jill Walker of Indianapolis; three brothers, Steve (Maryann) Walker of Lee Summit, Missouri, Paul (Patty) Walker of Villa Hills, Kentucky and Mark Walker of Guyman, Oklahoma; and has several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and sister in-law Clydean Walker. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at St John Cemetery.
