John Wayne 'Chip' Parsons age 46 of Clinton Township, Michigan formerly of Montgomery passed away at 7:00 AM Monday at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born on February 3, 1961 in Daviess County to James C. and Ruth (Butcher) Parsons. He married Debbie Hughes on October 31, 2006. He was a member of the VFW Men's Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion. He had worked for 20 years as a Automotive Lighting Engineer for Guide Corporation. He enjoyed being an association dart player for the Indiana Dart Association. Surviving are his wife, Debbie Parsons; one step daughter and her husband, Jennifer and John Thurber of Greenfield; three step grandchildren, Nigel, Lillian, and Grace Thurber all of Greenfield; two sisters Linda Parsons of Loogootee and Sharon Parsons of Memphis, Mo.; three brothers, Donald Ray Parsons of Odon, David L. Parsons of Montgomery, and James Parsons Jr. of Omega, Ga.; nine nieces and nephews; and his father and mother in-law, Ray and Rita Hughes of Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Ruth Parsons. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary with Father James Koressel officiating.Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
