Jim 'Larry' Colvin age 56 formerly of Montgomery passed way on Monday at 5:10 AM at The Waters of Jasper Nursing Home. He was born in Washington on May 6, 1951 to Lawrence W. and Roberta (Ham) Colvin. He attended Washington Catholic Schools and he worked for Energy Supply Coalmine till the mine close, then he was self employed. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Lawrence and Dottie Colvin of Washington; two sisters and bothers in-law, Carolyn Sue and Dennis Pat Dearing of Huntingburg, and Patty and Darrell Alford of Washington; three nieces, Michele Hamilton of Jasper, Laura Nord of Wheatland and Sarah Montgomery of Huntingburg; one nephew, Darrell W. Alford Jr. of Washington; and ten great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Roberta Colvin; grandparents, Mary and Patrick Colvin, and Pauline and Thomas Ham; and two step brothers, Joe Sizemore and John David Sizemore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday at St Patrick Catholic Church in Corning with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Cemetery Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
