Jerry D. Zimmerman age 65 of Washington passed away on Thursday at 8:05 AM at Prairie Village Nursing Center. He was born on May 17, 1941 in Fort Wayne to Sherman and Mary (Like) Zimmerman. He was a 40 year member of I.B.E.W. Local 1393 and had worked as a lineman for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing with a friend or just by himself. Surviving are his wife Mary Lou (Bennett) Zimmerman whom he married on October 7, 1988; two step daughters, Becky Whitworth of Loogootee and Julie Cathy of Wheatland; four sisters, Donna Boger of Auburn, Phyliss Dohner of Auburn, Shirley Wichline of Ohio, and Darlene Williams of Vincennes; two brothers Dave Zimmerman of Arizona, Roger Zimmerman of Ohio; seven step- grandchildren, Nicholas Schuetz , Nathan Schuetz, Johnathan Whitworth, Emily Whitworth all of Loogootee, Keyosha Cathy, Terrika Cathy, and Trenton Cathy all of Wheatland. Graveside services will be held on at 1:30 PM on Thursday April 12, 2007 at St. John Cemetery with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
