Jean E. Thompson age 81 of, St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Saturday at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born on June 13, 1927 in Washington to Earl and Eugenia (Kuffman) Thompson. She was a retired teacher from the St. Petersburg School Corporation and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is survived by one sister, Eleanor McCammack of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, John Thompson of Bloomington; and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
