Janet Sue Eaton, age 79, of Montgomery, went to her heavenly home at 5:15 AM on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at The Villages Oakridge. She was born on March 1, 1937 in Plainville to Niles "Bill" and Zella (Boyd) Dougherty. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1955 and was a member of Bethany Christian Church. Janet was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball and playing golf for many years. Janet is survived by her husband the love of her life for almost 61 years, Darrell Lee Eaton whom she married on June 24, 1955; three daughters, Kimberly Showers of Westfield, Deanna Kay (Neil) Sheffler of Carmel, and Cheryl (Dean) Robinson of Montgomery, two sisters, Dixie Brunson, and Donna Parker both of Vincennes; six grandchildren Joe (Leah) Robinson, Kyle (Jamie) Sheffler, Blake Sceffler, Lynnsey (Mike) Cohn, Lauren (Matt) Gillott, and Russell Showers; eight great grandchildren, Hunter Alli Jo, Stella, Ava, Olivia, Sophia, Colette, and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Bethany Christian Church. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday and 10 AM till the hour of services on Thursday all at Bethany Christian Church. Memorial Donations may be given to the American Cancer Society P.O.
