James Albert Robinson, Jr., age 76 of Indianapolis, passed away at 5:42 AM on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Washington on November 10, 1940 to James and Helen Louise (Williams) Robinson. He graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1958 and Vincennes University where he earned an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the National Guard for six years and retired from Rocore in Indianapolis. He was a lifetime member of the Washington Moose Lodge, the Eagles in Mooresville and he loved to play golf.

He is survived by his son, Brian Robinson of Indianapolis; daughter, René Robinson of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (Patricia Ann) of Indianapolis; sister, Barbara Ann Parks of Jasper; three grandchildren, Paul Thatcher, Chris Thatcher and Rayvin Robinson; great grandson, Kyle Thatcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joneen Sue (Strickland) Robinson, whom he married in 1964.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
