James “Mike” Michael Fox, 61, went to his heavenly home on June 18, 2026.
Born on August 23, 1964, in Puerto Rico, Mike was the son of Melba (Petty) Fox and James “Jim” Fox. A graduate of Washington Catholic High School's Class of 1982, he continued his education at Vincennes University, where he earned an associate degree. Mike dedicated more than 35 years of his life to the heating and air conditioning industry, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
Mike was known for his outgoing personality, quick smile, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He truly enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or spending time with those he loved, Mike had a way of making others feel welcome. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and making memories outdoors with family and friends.
He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus in Washington and the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club. Mike was also a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
Those left to cherish Mike's memory include his mother, Melba Fox; his beloved partner, Teresa DuKate; his children, Bryce Fox and Claire Fox (Noah Heif); his brother, Jeff (Jeanne) Fox; and his nieces and nephews, Joshua Hudson (Nella Rivera Hudson), Adam Hudson (Nikki Gaskin), Adair (Steve) Hedrick, and Garrett Fox (Audi Lawson), along with many other friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Fox.
Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, friendly spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him. His love for family, friends, and the outdoors leaves behind countless cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
