James F. Drew, 90, 5 East Ohio St, Washington, died at 9:25 PM on Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born January 23, 1916 in Daviess County he was the son of the late William and Maude (Gilley) Drew. He attended Jefferson Schools. He worked for McCord Corporation for 38 years and retired from Superior Steel Ball after 2 years there. He was a member of Maysville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by three sons; James William Drew, Bloomington, Charles Neal Drew, Los Lunas, New Mexico, Paul Walter Drew, Fort Myers, Florida, a daughter; Mary Rosalie Drew, Washington, four sisters; Fredia Fleenor and Bernice Sturgeon both of Washington, Henrietta Carroll, Cornettsville, Imogene Arthur, Washington, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Grace (Small) Drew, whom he married August 22, 1934, died January 19, 1995. His parents, sister Lillian Baumert and grandchildren William Franklin Drew and Mary Beth Drew are also deceased. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
