James Robert "Pappy" Edwards, age 84 of Washington, passed away August 1, 2015 at 10:58 pm at The Villages at Oakridge. He was born May 3, 1931 to Robert James Edwards and Helen (Beckett) Edwards. Jim was a lifelong resident of Washington, Indiana. He was an avid bowler, roller skater and water skier and a "Hatchet Super Fan". He was the best father and grandfather. He was loving, kind and caring. He always had a beautiful smile, silly face or funny joke. He will be missed. He was retired as a Sub Contractor in Flooring and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Jim was survived by his wife, Joan (Evans) Edwards of 45 years whom he married August 8, 1970, daughters; Jeannine (Fred) Resler, Eva (Dane) Ebler, Marianne Harner, and Lori D. Young, all of Washington, sons; Michael James (Nidia) Edwards of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Steven L. Edwards, and Robert F. Edwards, both of Washington, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. There will be no services. Ed Lee Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
