Helen B. Williams. Age 102 of Washington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday at 3:18 AM at Washington Nursing Center. She was born on December 20, 1907 to William and Maude (Koontz) Miles. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope catholic Church , RSVP AND The Friendly Club Helen volunteered for years at the Washington Nursing Center, helped with the mended, bingos, served refreshments, and knited lap robs. She also knitted booties, and hats for RSVP program for new babies. She also quilted quilts for several relatives and friends. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Williams on December 1, 1986, whom she had married on November 30, 1929. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Walter, Martin Miles, and William (Bill) Miles; and five sisters, Ann Patterson, Lorene Cannon, Tillie Wildridge, Theresa )Peg) Crowley, and Rose Blyth. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. There will be no visitation.
